New Safety Headgear Announcement
We are excited to announce that a new range of fully certified Safety Headgear is now in stock. These products are officially approved for sale as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the UK and will replace the Goldline safety headgear in our offerings.

We are proud to introduce the following new safety headgear products:

These new models meet all UK safety standards, carry the required certification for PPE, and are competitively priced. Helmets are also available for those seeking a more durable protective option.
Why the Change?
It has come to our attention that several Goldline safety headgear products are only certified for sale in Canada and North America, following their testing process in Ice Hockey. Unfortunately, this means that, as yet, they do not meet the legal requirements for sale as PPE in the UK.
We do believe the Goldline product is one of the sturdiest and most fashionable protective headgear available and they are currently exploring the process to obtain UK certification. We have urged them to accelerate this process. Until then, we are unable to sell these items as certified protective equipment in the UK.
While Goldline’s products have passed rigorous safety testing for their markets — a fact we absolutely respect — the reality is that they currently lack UK certification.
What You Need to Know
- We will distribute the new certified headgear through our regular wholesale outlets.
- We encourage all customers to review and compare the new range to ensure you have the appropriate level of protection.
- If you are looking for an alternative to your current Goldline product, we’re confident you’ll find a suitable and safe option in our updated range.
Voluntary Recall Option
Although Goldline has declined to assist with a product recall, I, on behalf of British Curling Supplies, am willing to facilitate a recall for any customer who wishes to return their Goldline safety headgear.
Your safety is our top priority, and we’ve worked diligently to ensure a certified, safe alternative is available to all our customers.
