Tom Pendreigh has coached at the very highest level and attained a number of successes including World and European Gold medals. His experience ranges across many disciplines and has held the position of GB Wheelchair Head Coach who won Silver at the Paralympic Games in Turin 2006. Tom also worked as an Area Institute coach for both Highland and Grampian, but maybe better known for his work with the Sportscotland Institute and as a personal coach to David Murdoch and his team. When not involved with this elite level of curling Tom still finds time to be Chairman at Inverness Ice Centre and still helps out at the club and entry-level of curling regularly coaching locally and also presenting for Scottish Curling at Master Class seminars and similar World Curling Federation events.
Frazer Shaw won the Scottish Junior Championship in 2017 and went on to represent Scotland at the World Junior Championships in Pyeongchang, Korea. As well as being a full-time ice technician, Frazer continues to offer his valuable time to look after sponsorship and development as well as overseeing operations.
Barbara McFarlane is our most recent acquisition as Operations Manager, based at the main office in Auchinleck. She moved from her previous role as Performance Development Coach for Scottish Curling but continues to provide coaching and tutoring expertise when required. Barbara’s most recent curling achievement was winning the World Mixed Championship for Scotland in October 2017.
Robert and Heather Brownlie joined BCS in July 2017 to manage and run the shop in Auchinleck. They have not come from a curling background but now have a vast knowledge of all the products in-store and deal with all the online orders.
Thomas Pendreigh represented Great Britain at the 2009 World University Games which was held in Harbin, China. He also competed in a number of Scottish Junior Championships but now resides in New Zealand. Thomas has less to do with the business now but still likes to get involved when he can.
